Nope, there's none outside! They weren't calling for it in out part of MD anyway, but I was still very happy to wake up and not have the ground be white!

This weekend

I'm so looking forward to this weekend, not only b/c of JJ's birthday party (which will be a lot of fun with being able to get together with friends) but also b/c my fav cousins are coming down and we have some fun activities planned for the kiddies in OC. I don't want the week to go by quickly, time flies quick enough as it is, I know better now than to wish the time away, but I'm still excited about seeing everyone. It's a great way to start out the holiday season!!!

Bad luck?

John says if it weren't for bad luck we wouldn't have any luck at all.

2 weeks ago it was something with the van, before that a light in the Xterra, now the power steering went up in the Jeep. John has been working on it since 10am this morning, bad parts having to go back has slowed him down considerably. Oh, and let's not forget right now the Taurus has the engine sitting on the ground while a new one is being put in. Oh, and he told me a light blew in the van.

Yep, we have 4 vehicles. Doesn't sound like bad luck at all, huh. We've been lucky to get good deals on 2 used vehicles in the past couple of years, 1 of which owes us nothing from what its already been driven by us. We're lucky that when 1 goes up we have another one to drive until its fixed. We're lucky that we have a friend who will work on things with John for a little money. We're lucky that John himself is mechanically inclined and can do little things himself.

I think an adjustment needs to be made (I'll give him some leeway, he was just frustrated, and at least he said it with humor in his voice.)

I love this pic b/c I managed to catch JJ before he saw the camera, just enjoying himself. The next picture I took he has his maniacal smile going, which of course is still cute.

I wonder if this is what they meant when the term "Saltwater Cowboy" was made up for those of us on the Shore. Guess right now if he picked up his red guitar he'd have more in common with that singing cowboy on the streets of NY huh...... (yes, I know the nickname.)

Huh, its the middle of November?

I'm having such a hard time keeping up with the days, I'm putting down yesterday, tomorrow, and if I'm lucky the right one. By the time I get used to today, its gone!

Wacky Wednesday

Is anyone else hating the cold already? What's up with this weather, November have been so nice the past few years, but this one has me worried we're set for a bad winter! I'm not made for the cold, not enough natural insulation!

Movies

Everyone said the Indiana Jones & The Crystal Skulls was a let down. I was setting myself up not to be disappointed, but we liked it! I thought it was a cool twist! And after knowing a little of the myth behind the Crystal Skulls made it more interesting! Gonna have to add that to the list to get my Dad as well!

Here's our ham, cheesing it up! You'd swear in some of the pics he's angry, trying to scare someone, or doing his favorite superhero of the day impression. But nope, its the way he says "cheese." I hope we can get him to just smile before he hits school, otherwise we're going to have some great laughs (and some future blackmail) over his yearly pictures!

Late Wacky Wednesday

I totally missed this last week and I'm late this week, too much going on! But, this is in honor of JJ who for some reason decided to tell me that the crocodile bit him Monday. You're guess is as good as mine as to what he meant!

push more buttons?

As soon as we got in the truck this morning JJ asked if we were going to go push buttons b/c he wanted more stickers. Last night he "cast" my ballot for me and thought it was so much fun. Hope he stays interested!

I type too much....

I didn't realize it until someone pointed it out to me b/c they couldn't type at my computer, but I've worn away a good # of the letters off my keyboard. It's not normally something I look at a lot, but now taking notice of it, its kinda funny looking!

Time change

I know I'm not the only one this screws with, at least this is much easier to take than the spring forward! But coming home with the dark is gonna be a downer! If it "saved" money to push it back, how bout we don't do it at all? The farmers can get up at a different time right, why do the rest of us have to?
